EMPAC DANCE MOViES COMMISSION 2010 - 2011

For the creation of a new film entitled FANFARE for MARCHING BAND.
Supported by the Jaffe Fund for Experimental Media and Performing Arts, Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC), and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.

FANFARE for MARCHING BAND

15:35 minute, Super16mm Experimental Music & Dance Film
Director: Danièle Wilmouth
Choreographer: Peter Carpenter
Band: MUCCA PAZZA
Saturated colors, euphoric music, and ecstatic dance choreography fail to engage an immobilized public. FANFARE for MARCHING BAND follows the antics of a ragtag musical militia, as they embark on an inept invasion through a parallel universe where their exuberant music is out of sync and unheard. This music and dance film features the notorious circus punk marching band Mucca Pazza.
FANFARE for MARCHING BAND is currently in the final stages of post-production.
